Big smiles!
Everything went great last night, then the obscene amount of caffeine in my body began to wear off and I became completely exhausted. I passed out cold for a few hours around 6 am or so, and am struggling to stay awake even as I write this.
Jami on the other hand is doing great, as is Tiva. I’m amazed at how resilient she is! She’s sitting up in bed, eat breakfast, feeding Tiva, all without looking like she lost a wink of sleep! She doesn’t seem to be in very much pain at all! She did such an amazing job last night and I can’t begin to say how proud I am. Thanks to everyone for all the support throughout the night! I’ll pass the laptop to Jami for the next post.
Jami looks worlds better. I would upload pictures, but I didn’t bring the right USB cord to get them on this computer. By the way, mad props to my dad for supplying his laptop for the duration of the delivery. Ours is out for repair. Great timing. Anyway, I’ve been snapping some pics, and I will try to get them up here in the next day or so, but definitely not until after the delivery when I can get home to get the right cable.

By the way, Jami’s dad Mike just started talking about astrology (“So Jami’s baby will be a Pisces?”). I never thought I would ever hear him talk about astrology.
Ive been booted from the room; Jami is in getting an epidrual. She’s been a trooper! The contractions looked like they were getting pretty intense; about 3 minutes apart. My favorite quote: “It’s fine when when I’m not having contractions.”
She’s doing great though, I’m really proud of her. I hope she can get a little rest after the drugs kick in.
This afternoon Jami and I went to the hospital. . . and were admitted for labor! She was started on oxytocin and what we last heard was that she could expect to be pushing by late tonight or early tomorrow morning! More to come!
